In my teenage years and my early 20’s, I was dumped a handful of times. Maybe you have been there or you have recently been dumped. It is a crappy situation, but I know that I could have avoided (or delayed) the harsh breakups if I just followed what I am about to tell you.
I was taught to always respect my girlfriend’s parents (especially her dad). So I did everything I could to win them over. I paid a lot of compliments to the moms and tried my best to impress the dads. However, there was one person that I never paid attention to or ever thought about impressing; you may also be making this same mistake.
When it comes down to it, this person is the judge and the jury and could very well turn into the plaintiff who wins the case if you are a tool. This is your girlfriend’s best friend. In no way am I exaggerating when I advise that you make her best friend a good friend of yours as well as a huge fan.
This is the girl that your girlfriend will call after your first date, your first argument, and everything else. This person has so much of your girlfriend’s trust, which shows that she obviously appreciates her input and her opinion about you.
With that being said, here are some simple ways on winning over the girl you really have to impress.
- Include her– if there are ever group activities, make sure that you include her best friend as much as possible. Don’t make it appear as if you are in love with her, but once in a while it wouldn’t be a bad idea to add her onto your team.
- Ask about her– If she recently went through a tough time, ask about her once in a while to your girlfriend. It will get traveled to her that you feel sympathy for her and that will mean a lot to her.
- Make your girlfriend happy– When it comes down to it, a true friend is happy when a friend is genuinely joyful. Pursue your girlfriend and she won’t be able to shut up about you to her friends, which will win them over instantly.
