If Your Dreams Do Not Scare You, They Are Not Big Enough

imageRyan is a bodybuilding phenom, and just graduated high school. If you like what he wrote, please share and watch his video below.

“The greatest prison that people live in is the fear of what other people think.”

Plot twist on your life- you realize how powerful you truly are and that you create the world of your dreams, but then what? Spit in the face of fear.

Warning: When you aspire to be something greater than just average, prepare to be hated on. Average people love to be average because no one hates on them. Keep that in mind.

High achievement alway takes place in the framework of high expectation. Some of the coolest dreams that ever came true weren’t dreams at all, but standards that simply weren’t compromised.

Choices. You make them everyday. All the time. Discipline. Yeah it might mean not having those extra drinks (or drinks at all..), or going to that party, or hanging out with a certain group of friends. Yeah, it might mean eating chicken, rice, & vegetables again for dinner, getting up at 5 am before school to lift, keeping up with chores or having a salad as your appetizer instead of those buffalo chicken wings. But guess what? It’s worth it. Well worth it.

You are a result of the choices you’ve made in the past. Every decision you’ve made has led you to this moment in your life. Want to be somewhere different? Different level of success? Make different choices. Think different thoughts. Dream bigger dreams. Then act on those dreams and figure out what the first steps are to get you there. The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

Just like Liberian President Ellen Sirleaf said, “If your dreams don’t scare you, they’re not big enough.”

The loser believed that he “could win ‘if…,” but the winner believed he “would win ‘when…”

You see, we were all born to be winners. But to be a winner, you have to plan to win, prepare to win, and expect to win. I came to fight, to win, and to conquer. So did you. Conquer your fears and your doubts. Show other people what it’s like to control your mind and have a ridiculous amount of belief in yourself. Show the world who you are.

Get out there and change the world. Surround yourself with the dreamers and the doers, those hungry and motivated, those driven and focused. You’ll become like them and feed off that positive energy. Iron sharpens iron so stay away from those that’ll dull your sword.

Lastly, don’t wait for the world to recognize your greatness. Live it and let the world catch up to you.

There you go. Imagine finding an untapped gold mine that only you’ll profit from. That’s literally what just happened- it’s all in your mind. Now get to work.
